I had to say goodbye to my mom today. She has been living with us for a month-helping out with Liam, cooking, cleaning... Just being there for us.
It has been wonderful, and I was sad to see her leave. We dropped her off at the airport, and right then, I was wishing for an 'easy' button for goodbyes. Im not good at saying goodbye. I usually just kind of pretend I'm fine, and I use my best acting skills to convince everyone it's not a big deal. I smile, give hugs and share some sweet words-- and watch people leave.
In reality though, I'm secretly hiding and crying in a small corner of my heart - just wishing for this awkward moment to pass. If I could, I would skip goodbyes all together.
